Introduction
If you’re looking for a new gaming monitor but don’t want to spend hundreds or even thousands of pounds / dollars on the latest and greatest specs, there’s a wide range of more budget-friendly options out there to choose from. iiyama are one brand we’ve been speaking to recently about their expanding ‘G-master’ monitor range, and they’ve been telling us all about their new models that are being released at the moment, and a some others that are planned for release during the latter part of Q4 2025.
We thought it would be useful to summarise these new models in a single article, breaking down their key specs and hopefully helping you understand the differences between each option. A lot of them have very similar model names and features, but there’s some distinctions between each option which we will try and highlight for you here. These new displays are all about providing value for money, for those who don’t necessarily want or need all the modern bells and whistles you can find on many gaming monitors today. They’re all LCD based monitors, but if you’re looking for a more affordable or budget gaming screen then there’s a wide selection of sizes, specs and features to choose from here. Hopefully there might be something in here that will suit your needs.
There’s quite a lot of models in here that are just being released, and even a few that have so far not been announced that we can unveil today. We’ve included RRP for the UK along with planned release dates for each model below too along with a link to check availability and pricing for your local region, although regional availability may vary.
A Quick Summary of the iiyama Product Ranges and Naming Scheme

Black Hawk – these are the entry-level gaming monitors in their range, characterised by refresh rates now up to 144Hz.
Product codes
Within their model naming scheme there’s some codes which may be useful to understand as well. Many models are very similar to one another but some of the main distinctions would be their stands (tilt-only or fully adjustable versions) and whether they include a USB hub or not. Look out for the following codes in the product names to differentiate the versions:
- GCB = Gaming Curved, Height Adjustable Stand
- GB = Gaming, Height Adjustable Stand
- G = Gaming (fixed stand)
- HSU = Full HD, Speakers, USB Hub
- QSU = Quad HD, Speakers, USB Hub
- UHSU = 4K, Speakers, USB Hub
- UHSCP = 4K, Speakers, USB-C (with 95W power delivery)
- CP – not specifically for this, but all these models also have a KVM switch
- B# – revision number
Small Form-factor Gaming Monitors

If you’re looking for a smaller sized gaming monitor at an attractive price point then there’s a wide selection of new monitors being released by iiyama to consider. These models are all ~24″ in size with a 1920 x 1080 (FHD) resolution, a popular format still for competitive gamers. This gives you a smaller screen area to focus on, helping improve focus and reduce the need for eye movement during fast gaming situations, and the 1080p resolution means you can hopefully drive more frames than on a higher resolution screen. They’re built around IPS panel technology which should give you good all-round performance and image quality with wide viewing angles and good colours.

There’s new models available in the iiyama ‘Blackhawk’ line-up which offer a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time) spec thanks to its ‘Motion Blur Reduction’ mode which operates a strobing blur reduction backlight. They support adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates (VRR) and include the standard AMD ‘FreeSync’ certification.
There’s also some new higher-spec models being released in their ‘Red Eagle’ line-up which offer a higher 240Hz refresh rate if you want something a bit faster, and they have a 0.3ms MPRT spec. These models have also undergone the more rigorous NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ certification process for reassurance around VRR performance. One new ‘Gold Phoenix’ model is also coming in the near future which offers an even faster 320Hz refresh rate and some extended connectivity options.

27″ Gaming Monitors

If you’re after something a bit larger then there’s also a wide range of new 27″ sized gaming monitors being released at the moment by iiyama across their 3 product ranges. 27″ is the most popular monitor size currently, providing a nice increase in size compared with the smaller ~24″ models, helping improve immersion for gaming and video. They’re also more suitable if you want to sit a bit further away from the screen, like if you’re gaming using a controller or perhaps connecting up a games console as well.

With the larger screen area, some of these models also offer an increase 2560 x 1440 (1440p) resolution, a decent step up from 1080p which gives you a 78% increase in desktop area and space to work with. This also significantly improves image clarity and sharpness, as you upgrade from a low ~82 PPI to ~109 PPI pixel density on a screen this size. On a 27″ screen we think 1440p is well worth going for if you can. Some gamers may still prefer lower 1080p resolutions perhaps, as they can be easier to power, easier to drive high frame rates, and perhaps more comfortable if you’re sitting a bit further away from the screen. You’ve got options for both 1440p and 1080p resolutions in these new iiyama models anyway.
There’s even one new 27″ model being released this quarter with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, offering an even higher pixel density of ~163 PPI for an incredibly sharp image. This model also supports a dual-mode function.

There’s new models available in the ‘Blackhawk’ line-up, built around IPS technology panels which offer a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time) spec thanks to its ‘Motion Blur Reduction’ mode which operates a strobing blur reduction backlight. They support adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates (VRR) with some offering the standard AMD ‘FreeSync’ certification while others offer NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ certification.
There’s also some new higher-spec models being released in their ‘Red Eagle’ line-up which feature ‘Fast IPS’ panels and offer a higher 200 – 240Hz refresh rate if you want something a bit faster, and those have a 0.4 – 0.5ms MPRT spec. These models have also undergone the more rigorous NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ certification process for reassurance around VRR performance.

31.5″ Gaming Monitors
If you are looking for an even larger monitor then iiyama also have a good range of new monitors in this size available. Like the jump up from 24″ to 27″, the jump here to 31.5″ (32″ class) can help improve immersion for gaming, especially if you are viewing your screen from a more distant position. They’re great for large open-world games, RTS and RPG titles, and can provide even better image detail where higher resolutions are offered. There are 31.5″ sized models in the iiyama range for 1440p resolutions, as well as “4K” resolutions (3840 x 2160), so you’ve got a choice depending on your requirements.

The 4K resolution options will give you even more desktop real-estate to work with as well for general and offices uses if you need, while the high pixel density of ~138 PPI gives you a crisp and sharp image. If you’re concerned that your system may struggle with powering games at 4K resolution, there’s the option to go for a lower 1440p resolution model instead. You’ll get the same desktop area as a 27″ 1440p monitor, but pixel density won’t be as high (~92 PPI instead of ~109 PPI), so text and images don’t look as sharp. They’re still a popular choice for gamers though who want a more modest resolution for their games, but combined with a larger screen size for user comfort and immersion.

There’s new models being launched in Q4 in their ‘Red Eagle’ and ‘Gold Phoenix’ ranges, including a few that have previously not been announced. Some of these 32″ models are built around IPS and Fast IPS technology panels, while there’s also some VA technology offerings in this size to consider. IPS will offer you a generally better all-round performance and are typically a bit faster and smoother for gaming, while VA panels have a better contrast ratio and handle darker games and content better.

Very Large Format Gaming Monitors

If you want something even bigger, then iiyama also offer a very large format 42.5″ sized (43″ class) model in their Red Eagle range. This offers a really huge screen size for those who are perhaps looking for a cross between a desktop monitor and a TV. It can be used more comfortably from distant viewing positions and is well-suited to console gaming too.
It’s built around a VA technology panel which offers strong contrast and overall image quality, and has a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution. This is combined with a 144Hz refresh rate for gaming, and a range of features are offered including decent 2x 7W integrated speakers and a USB-A and USB-C hub.
Summary
Hopefully that’s been a useful round-up of all of the new gaming monitors being launched by iiyama during Q4, there’s certainly a big choice in a range of sizes to choose from. There’s multiple variants of most of them, so just make sure you select the right one for your needs depending on things like the stand adjustments and connectivity options. Keep an eye on our news pages as always for news on any other new iiyama monitors being released in the future.
