ViewSonic XG2730D-4K Announced with 27″ 4K 144Hz IPS Dual-Mode Panel

ViewSonic have launched a further 27” IPS display into the gaming monitor market. Hot on the heels of the announcement of their VX2766-2K-PRO-8 monitor, the XG2730D-4K offers a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It also features a dual-mode function so you can switch to a faster 288Hz refresh rate when dropping to a lower FHD resolution for certain gaming situations.
ViewSonic XG27730D-4K Specs

This 27” sized screen with a flat format is built around a ‘Super Clear IPS’ LCD technology panel and boasts an impressive “4K” resolution and 163 PPI pixel density for impressive visuals. In other specs it offers a 0.5ms MPRT response time spec, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 and 99% of the sRGB colour spaces.
There is also the ability to change aspect ratio modes depending on the game which is great if you want to switch between playing modern-day titles and old-school classics, or play at non-standard ratios.

The native 144Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, including certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ schemes. Other gaming features include Crosshair, Black Stabilisation, Colour Modes and ViewMode.
The stand incorporates tilt, height and swivel adjustments, whilst Low Blue Light and Flicker-free technologies are also included to aid your comfort in long gaming sessions.
