ViewSonic VX2722-4K-OLED Showcased with 4K Panel and Hardware Calibration

At CES this week ViewSonic have showcased their forthcoming VX2722-4K-OLED display, a 27″ screen based on an OLED panel from JOLED. It has a 3840 x 2160 resolution and is aimed at professional and content creation uses. There is a 0.1ms G2G response time, near-infinite contrast ratio, 250 typical SDR brightness, 540 nits peak brightness, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 100% DCI-P3 and 109% Adobe RGB. The screen supports hardware calibration too for high levels of control and accuracy.

The screen is 60Hz only given its target market and is not aimed at gaming. The screen is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black scheme (not to be confused with the lower HDR 400 tier). For HDR the OLED panel will offer per pixel dimming, freedom from blooming and halos, true blacks and near-infinite contrast ratio.,

For connectivity there are DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1 (capabilities not listed at this time) and USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 96W power delivery) provided. PiP and PbP modes are supported from multiple inputs too. There are also 4x USB data ports and a headphone jack provided. The stand provides a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

No word on pricing yet, but it’s expected to be released in Q4 2023 although it’s available in China already.
