ViewSonic Unveil Two 27″ 430Hz IPS Monitors, the XG273-2K and VX2781-2K-PRO-4
ViewSonic have recently unveiled a couple of 430Hz refresh rate monitors in their range, both offering the same specs and features but with a different design. The ViewSonic XG273-2K and VX2781-2K-PRO-4 are 27″ in size and are built around a ‘Fast IPS’ panel. They offer 2560 x 1440 resolution, a high 430Hz refresh rate and some modest HDR capabilities too including certification under the HDR 600 tier. More information on their specs and design differences below. It’s not clear at the moment which screen will be released in which region, but we will provide more information as and when we get it.
Specs overview of both models
As we said, both screens are 27″ in size with a 2560 x 1440 resolution IPS panel. They also offer a 1ms G2G response time, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles and a wide colour gamut covering 98% DCI-P3.
The high 430Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive sync for variable refresh rates from compatible systems, and will apparently include certification under the AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ schemes. They are also certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 600 tier, meaning some basic edge-lit local dimming capabilities, and a peak brightness spec of 600 nits.
For connectivity the screens offer 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMO 2.1 (capabilities not listed) and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 96W power delivery). There are also 3x USB data ports, a headphone jack and an additional USB-C data port (15W power delivery). The screens also have 2x 3W integrated speakers. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
ViewSonic XG273-2K design
This model was unveiled this week at the ‘China Joy 2024’ event. It has a black front design, but a white rear enclosure as you can see from the photos provided.
ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-4 design
This model has a more common black design, with a black rear enclosure and a more gamer aesthetic.
