Philips Evnia 32M2N6800M Announced with 31.5″ IPS Panel and 1,152-zone Mini LED Backlight

Philips have released a new model in their Evnia line-up. The 32M2N6800M is 31.5″ in size with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution IPS panel, a 144Hz refresh rate and a high-end Mini LED backlight with 1,152 local dimming zones. With the screen also being equipped with Ambiglow lighting, gamers can create a truly enchanting experience with RGB ambient lighting that can follow audio and video content. The new Dynamic Lighting software installed in the Philips Evnia 32M2N6800M is made to create an ecosystem across all devices equipped with RGB lighting. While gaming, Dynamic Lighting will allow Windows 11 users to sync audio and video content across their monitor and connected accessories; thereby making each gaming experience truly customised and immersive.

Philips Evnia 32M2N6800M Specs
In other specs the screen offers a 1ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 700 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, an 8-bit+FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99.5% of the DCI-P3 gamut according to the spec. The 144Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems.
For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 connections provided (capabilities not listed). There’s also a 3 port USB hub and an audio output connection. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
1152 zone Mini LED backlight
The 1152 zone Mini LED backlight allows for high end local dimming for HDR, with the screen being able to reach 1250 nits peak brightness and meet the VESA ‘DisplayHDR 1000’ certification tier as well. The high number of dimming zones should offer excellent control over the content, allowing for increased contrast and lower levels of blooming and halos than you get on lower zone count monitors.

Pricing and Availability
The Philips Evnia 32M2N6800M monitor will be available for purchase from September 2024 at an MSRP of £739.99 GBP in the UK.
