Philips Evnia 27M2N3800A Released with 27″ 4K 160Hz Dual-Mode IPS Panel

Philips have recently launched their new Evnia 27M2N3800A monitor, a 27″ sized LCD screen featuring an IPS technology panel with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution and 160Hz refresh rate. It also supports a dual-mode function allowing you to drop to a 1080p resolution at 320Hz if you’d rather for faster gaming situations.

The screen is 27″ in size and built around a ‘Fast IPS’ technology LCD panel with a flat format. It has a native 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 1ms G2G response time (and 0.5ms MPRT spec using the MBR blur reduction mode), 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 450 nits peak brightness (HDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit+FRC colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% DCI-P3 and ~130% relative sRGB coverage. Adaptive-sync supports VRR gaming situations.

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1 connections provided, with support for ‘MultiView’ PiP/PbP modes. A headphone output and some basic 2x2W integrated speakers are available for handling audio, and the stand supports a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
Gaming features

The Philips Evnia 27M2N3800A is also equipped with a multitude of technologies to support gaming sessions.
- SmartImage Game mode adapts the monitor’s visual settings to the type of game, enhancing contrast in FPS games, for example, or amplifying colour in racing mode.
- Stark ShadowBoost gets the most out of dark scenes, offering better texture and saturation to expose enemies more easily.
- Smart Crosshair changes the colour of the crosshair according to the background colour, improving aiming accuracy
- Smart Sniper allows users to zoom in, helping gamers aim at enemies from a long distance in FPS titles.
- The Evnia Precision Center software allows users to truly fine-tune their gaming experience to reflect their personal taste via a range of powerful, innovative, easy-to-use options.
