MSI Optix MAG301CR with 30″ Ultrawide VA Panel and 200Hz Refresh Rate
MSI have recently announced their new Optix MAG301CR display. This new screen is a fairly unusual format, being curved (1500R) and 30″ in size but in an ultrawide format (close to 21:9 aspect ratio). It offers a 2560 x 1080 resolution along with a 200Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time spec. The high refresh rate is supported for variable refresh rates via adaptive-sync, meaning it can support AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-sync systems.
Spec wise the 30″ VA technology panel offers a 2560 x 1080 resolution, 1ms response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 178/178 viewing angles and a wide gamut covering 98% DCI-P3 and 127% sRGB. The stand provides a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. For connections there are 1x USB type-C, 1x DisplayPort 1.2a, 2x HDMI 2.0 and 2x USB ports, along with a headphone jack.
Optix MAG301CR is further strengthened by the Gaming OSD App, which allows you to control your monitor display via software. You can customize display settings in the app and it will then automatically apply the changes once you start using the monitor. Lastly, the Gaming OSD App also allows you to use in-game hotkeys to adjust display settings. Night Vision is part of MSI’s monitor configuration software it smartly computes and amplifies details in dark areas of the screen. Avoiding overly brightening the screen and causing areas to overexpose. This creates pleasing images that are comfortable to look at. Let the world’s first smart black tuner brighten your day by bringing out the fine details in dark areas.
The screen also features MSI’s ‘Mystic Light’ feature, allowing you to configure the RGB LEDs to your own taste and synchronize it with other MSI Mystic Light compatible products.
There’s no word on release date or pricing yet.
