HP Announce E45c G5 Monitor with 44.5″ 5120 x 1440 Resolution and 165Hz Refresh
HP have today announced a large format display in their new E-series G5 monitor range. The HP E45c G5 has a 44.5″ ultrawide screen size and curved format, and offers a Dual QHD resolution of 5120 x 1440. This is designed to replace dual 27″ 1440p monitors with a single display with the screen also offering a range of modern connections and features as well.
HP E45c G5 Specs
Spec wise the screen is 44.5″ in size (45″ class) and has a curved format. It’s based on a VA technology panel and has a 5120 x 1440 resolution, 3ms G2G response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and a standard 99% sRGB colour gamut. There is a fairly high 165Hz refresh rate offers as well for gaming according to the data sheet. The screen uses adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible NVIDIA and AMD systems and should be certified against the FreeSync Premium standard.
The stand offers tilt, height and swivel adjustments. For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 1x HDMI 2.1 (capabilities not listed) and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 65W power delivery). There is then an additional USB type-C data connection, 4x USB ports and an RJ45 Ethernet connection.
The screen is expected to be priced at £1499 GBP in the UK, release date is not yet provided.
