Dell Alienware AW2526HL Announced with a 24.5″ 300Hz 1080p IPS Panel

Dell have recently launched their new Alienware AW2526HL gaming monitor in China. This is 24.5” in size and has a 1920 x 1080 (1080p) resolution IPS panel combined with a 300Hz refresh rate. It is aimed at the gaming and esports markets with the emphasis being on speed, clarity and smoothness. It also is very budget friendly for those who want impressive refresh rates without breaking the bank.
Dell Alienware AW2526HL Specs
The full product page for this model has not yet appeared so information we can provide is somewhat limited at this time. This 24.5” sized screen is built around an IPS LCD technology panel, featuring a 1920 x 1080 (FHD) resolution, 89 PPI pixel density, 1ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness, 178/178, 8-bit colour depth and a standard 99% sRGB colour gamut. The impressive 300Hz refresh rate is supported by AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ and VESA ‘AdaptiveSync’ to prevent screen tearing for smoother gameplay.

The design of the panel is ergonomically sound incorporating tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. Dell’s exclusive ComfortView Plus technology, which has TÜV Rheinland certification, is also included to reduce low blue light emissions without compromising the colour. This is coupled with Flicker-free technology to help reduce eyestrain and fatigue during those long hours gaming.
HDR support is limited with support for HDR10 only but this panel is really built for speed rather than high resolutions and HDR capabilities so this does not come as a surprise.
Connectivity
Connectivity options include 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and a headphone jack.
Availability and pricing
This model has only appeared in China at this time for a price of 1,199 yuan (approximately $173 USD) so any further details on global availability remains unclear at this stage.
