Corsair announced back in August 2022 their interesting new XENEON FLEX 45WQHD240 OLED Gaming Monitor. This is a a 45″ sized bendable (yes, bendable) OLED panel produced in close partnership with LG Display. It has a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio and can be used in fully flat mode for strategy or productivity applications, or with an immersive up-to-800R curve for simulations and shooter games, and anywhere in between, users can adjust the display to match their content in seconds. It also boasts a 240Hz refresh rate and support for G-sync and FreeSync.

Corsair XENEON FLEX 45WQHD240 OLED Specs

The screen is 45″ in size and based on a bendable RGBW OLED panel from LG.Display. It has a 3440 x 1440 ultrawide resolution. Corsair promote of course the OLED benefits including per-pixel dimming, true blacks and a contrast ratio spec of 1.5 million:1. A 1000 nits peak brightness is also mentioned which would put it above popular 42″ OLED options like the LG 42C2 and Asus ROG Swift PG42UQ displays.
There is a wide colour gamut covering 98.5% DCI-P3 (and 100% sRGB) along with a 10-bit colour depth.

A 0.03ms G2G response time spec is listed along with a 0.01ms on/off pixel response time. Impressively the screen also offers a 240Hz refresh rate along with adaptive-sync for support of VRR from both NVIDIA and AMD systems. The screen will include NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ certifications as well.

The screen has “a specially formulated anti-reflective coating to reduce glare and reflections” as well Corsair say which is preferable in our experience for a desktop monitor.
“We challenged ourselves to create a game-changing display that delivers an incredible and customizable experience, and I think we’ve achieved that goal and more,” Said Dennis Jackson, Senior Director of Systems Product Management & Marketing and CORSAIR. “With the help of LG Display, XENEON OLED FLEX is the beginning of a whole new class of gaming monitor, with the performance and literal flexibility to exceed the needs of even the most discerning gamers.”

“CORSAIR is a fantastic partner with which to bring flexible W-OLED displays to gamers,” said Mina Lee, Gaming Strategy & Marketing Team Leader at LG Display. “We can’t wait to put this new class of gaming display in the hands of PC enthusiasts.”

All the connections are located in an easy to reach location on the stand, some on the front for quick access, and others on the back. For video connections the screen offers 1x DisplayPort, 2x HDMI 2.1 (capabilities not specified) and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode) on the back of the stand. There are also 2x USB data ports on the back as well as 2x USB ports and a headphone jack on the front of the stand. An additional USB-C connection on the back offers upstream connection back to your PC.

OLED panel care and burn-in warranty
According to the original August press release, “To help protect the display, XENEON FLEX OLED boasts a sophisticated burn-in prevention system which operates when both powered on, and when switched off, to ensure a flawless image even after extended UI or OS use, all backed by a three-year Zero Burn in and Zero Dead Pixel Warranty.” The Corsair website lists “burn-in protection”, a “zero dead pixel guarantee” and 3 year 24/7 warranty.
