ViewSonic Unveil the VX4518 Monitor with a 44.5″ VA Panel and 165Hz Refresh Rate
Unveiled recently by ViewSonic China is the new VX4518 monitor. This is a large format display with a 44.5” screen size, and is built around a VA technology panel. It offers a 5120 x 1440 resolution, a 1500R curvature and a 165Hz refresh rate.
In other specs there is a 1ms MPRT (suggesting the inclusion of a strobing backlight blur reduction mode), 3000:1 contrast ratio, 450 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, an 8-bit colour depth and an extended colour gamut covering 90% DCI-P3. The 165Hz refresh rate should be supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems.
For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1 (capabilities not listed) and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 65W power delivery) provided. There are also 3x USB data ports on offer. The stand has tilt and height adjustments.
No word on pricing or release date yet, or availability in other regions. More info when we get it.
