Coolermaster GM34-CW Curved Gaming Display with 34″ Ultrawide VA Panel and 144Hz
Back in July 2019 Coolermaster entered the monitor market with their first couple of displays. They are a well known manufacturer in the PC case segment, but very new to monitors. They have a new model listed in their range now as well, the GM34-CW. This is a 34″ ultrawide display with a 3440 x 1440 resolution, 1500R curvature and a range of impressive gaming specs.
For gamers there is a 144Hz native refresh rate, supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from both NVIDIA and AMD systems. AMD’s “FreeSync 2” certification is also listed in the spec which means it should carry a level of performance certification which is good news. There is also a 1ms MPRT spec listed, which implies there is a strobing blur reduction backlight available.
The screen has a wide colour gamut through the use of Quantum Dot coating, offering 95% DCI-P3 coverage (125% sRGB). It’s based on a VA technology panel and in other specs there is a 3000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles.
For connectivity there are 2x DisplayPort, 2x HDMI and 1x headphone connections. The screen also features 2x 3W integrated speakers. There is also a purple lighting feature built in to the screen. The stand offers tilt, height and swivel adjustments.
