Cooler Master Announce GM27QP and GM27QPA Monitors with 240Hz Refresh Rates
Back in March we brought you some exclusive roadmap news from Cooler Master, including various new models they had planned for this year. They’ve now more formally announced some of those new models at Computex 2024. We already brought you news yesterday of the GP27QP, a 27″ 1440p 240Hz model with a 1152-zone Mini LED backlight. The company also announced two new 27″ models in their ‘mainstream’ GM line-up as well.
GM27QP
First is the GM27QP, featuring a VA technology panel and a 1500R curvature. This screen has a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 1ms G2G /1ms MPRT response time spec, 2500:1 contrast ratio, 400 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit+FRC colour depth and an extended colour gamut covering 90% DCI-P3, and ~120% sRGB. The screen has a 240Hz refresh rate along with adaptive-sync support for variable refresh rates.
For connectivity the screen offers 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, along with an audio output connection. There are 2x2W integrated speakers and support for PiP/PbP modes. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
The GM27QP was listed for a Q2 production in the information we had back in March, suggesting a Q3 release date, and is expected to have an MSRP of $289 USD.
GM27QPA
Second up is another 27″ model, this time built around a flat IPS-type panel. This screen has a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 5ms G2G /1ms MPRT response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and an 8-bit+FRC colour depth. The colour gamut specs are TBD.
This model wasn’t in our roadmap information from March, so we don’t have any indication of pricing or release date at this time.
