BenQ ZOWIE XL2746S with 1080p TN Film Panel, 240Hz Refresh Rate and DyAc+
BenQ are releasing a new eSports monitor in their ZOWIE gaming lineup. The XL2746S is 27″ in size and will offer a 1920 x 1080 resolution TN Film panel and 240Hz refresh rate. This is supported via adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from both AMD and NVIDIA systems (48 – 240Hz range), including LFC for low frame rates. It also supports their DyAc+ technology for improved accuracy and reduced motion blur.
Spec wise the 27″ screen offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution TN Film panel, 0.5ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 320 cd/m2 brightness, 170/160 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and a standard sRGB gamut. A strobe backlight setting called ‘DyAc+’ (Dynamic Accuracy Plus) can be used in place of Adaptive-Sync to help minimise perceived blur where the frame rate consistently matches the refresh rate.
The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. There are DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4 and even Dual-link DVI connections available, along with 2x USB ports a headphone jack and mic jack. As in the pictures here, a detachable light shield is provided too. There’s also a range of typical BenQ gaming add-on features and options in the OSD menu. This can be easily accessed with the help of the provided S-switch accessory too.
