Nixeus have just announced the addition of a new 27” 4K @ 144Hz display to their EDG gaming monitor series. Utilizing the latest display panel technology, the Nixeus NX-EDG274K natively supports an UltraHD 3840 x 2160 resolution with 144Hz refresh rate using a single DisplayPort 1.4 cable connection using VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC). It also has adaptive sync support for variable refresh rates from both AMD and NVIDIA systems (48 – 144Hz range).

With AMD Radeon FreeSync enabled, the NX-EDG274K also supports Adaptive Over-Drive/Anti-Ghosting and Low Frame Rate Compensation (LFC) to enable smooth stutter free gaming even when games are outputting at lower frames per second during intense gaming sessions.

The Nixeus EDG 27” 4K 144Hz also provides end users with Full Over-Drive Control in the monitor’s on screen display settings for when FreeSync is not being used – allowing users to adjust the monitor’s over-drive/anti-ghost settings in one unit increments settings from 0 to 127 for a more precise over-drive control for their different gaming preferences and gaming applications.

Spec wise the 27″ IPS-type panel offers a 4ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7m 8-bit colour depth and a standard sRGB gamut. For connectivity there are 2x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 offered along with an audio output jack. The stand offers a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments and there are also integrated stereo speakers.

The Nixeus NX-EDG274K will be available in Q1 2020.
