Asus Unveil the ROG Strix XG27ACDNG, a 27″ QD-OLED Monitor with 360Hz
Unveiled today at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany is the new ROG Strix XG27ACDNG monitor. This is a new one we haven’t seen before, and it’s a 27″ QD-OLED monitor with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 360Hz refresh rate. This offers a new QD-OLED option in their 27″ space, where several WOLED options are already available including their standard matte WOLED 240Hz PG27AQDM, their glossy coated 240Hz WOLED XG27AQDMG and their new matte coated 480Hz WOLED PG27AQDN. Basically, this new model is their first QD-OLED monitor in this space, offering a refresh rate in the middle of the range between their 240Hz and 480Hz models. It will also mean those who prefer things like the semi-glossy coating of the QD-OLED panels have an option to consider.
Features
The new screen features the standard semi-glossy QD-OLED anti-reflection coating, 360 Hz refresh rate, and 0.03 ms response time. This is supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from compatible systems.
According to the press release, it also includes a new heatsink design that allows for effective heat dissipation and thermal management. The compact monitor base frees up desk space and it has a mobile phone slot. Additionally, the Strix OLED XG27ACDNG includes the Dynamic Brightness Boost feature that dials up luminance levels at low APL window sizes, as well as AI Visual that automatically detects what’s onscreen and adjusts to provide the best default or user-preset monitor settings. A USB type-C port with 90-watt Power Delivery enables versatile connections.
Availability
The Strix OLED XG27ACDNG will be available on shelves in early Q4, 2024, pricing is still to be confirmed. More info on this model when we get it.
