An Update on Pricing and Availability for the LG 45GX950A and 45GX990A 45″ 5K2K OLED Monitors

As we discussed in our recent video “5K2K Ultrawide OLEDs are Coming!“, the first wave of 45″ OLED monitors with this new higher resolution and pixel density are due to be released in the next couple of months. These screens will be the first 45” OLED ultrawide monitors to offer a 5120 x 2160 resolution, and also offer 165Hz refresh rate, dual-mode support (at 330Hz) and various other high end specs and feature. They were originally announced and showcased at CES 2025 in January, and we now have some early details about pricing and availability for some regions which you can find below based on various sources. You can find coverage of these monitors in our CES 2025 monitor news round-up here.

LG 45GX950A Pricing and Availability (curved model)

USA

The official product page is now live for the US and the screen is available to pre-order directly from LG.com, or from a variety of well-known retailers, at a RRP is $1,999 USD. LG.com do have an offer available which will give you $100 off a purchase of a new 2025 line-up monitor as well, so that’s worth signing up for.

The screen shows as “in stock” now at LG.com, so we expect shipments to commence imminently. Other retailers show an ETA of 5 April 2025 at the earliest.

Europe

The UK product page is now live as well, with the price listed at £1,799.98. Stock appears to be available with delivery in around a week’s time.

In other European countries like France and Italy for example, the product page has yet to appear, although it is available on LG.com/de (Germany), although not listed to buy yet. According to the official LG press release from their Convention in Frankfurt/Main, the RRP is €1,999 euros with a release date of “April 2025”.

Canada

The LG product page is now online for Canada and lists a price of $2,799 CAD. They have a pre-order bonus Corsair gaming bundle which has also gone live as of 28th Feb and you can now pre-order the screen in Canada. The website says shipments will start from 28 March 2025.

LG 45GX990A Pricing and Availability (bendable model)

There’s been very limited information released for this bendable model yet which was listed at CES as being released later in the year. The LG Convention press release from Germany implies that it would be available in April 2025, as it says “The new LG GX9 monitors will be available in Germany from April 2025.” But we don’t believe this to be correct, and believe it’s been incorrectly bundled in with the other two GX monitors which are due in April. LG Electronics have told us that there is no date for the bendable model yet, so we’d expect it later in the year at some point.

The only hint we’ve had about pricing is the LG Convention news from Germany which says the RRP is 2,499 euros. More info for other regions to follow when we get it later in the year.
