Nitro XV345CKR P

As part of their Computex announcements Acer today unveiled the Acer Nitro XV345CKR P, a new 34″ ultrawide monitor featuring a 5120 x 2160 “5K2K” resolution and a high-end Mini LED backlight. We don’t see many Mini LED ultrawide monitors being announced or launched, so this provides an interesting new option.

Acer Nitro XV345CKR P specs

The screen is built around a curved VA LCD panel with a 180Hz native refresh rate, and a dual-mode function which supports a higher 360Hz at WFHD (2560 x 1080). Adaptive-sync supports VRR with certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ and NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ schemes.

The Mini LED backlight has 1,1,34 local dimming zones and allows the screen to be certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 tier with a peak brightness spec of 1000 nits quoted.

In other specs the screen offers a 5ms G2G response time spec, 4000:1 contrast ratio, 450 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% DCI-P3.

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.1 and 1x USB-type C (65W) for video, along with a headphone and audio output. The screen offers 2x 5W integrated speakers and the stand has tilt, height and swivel adjustments.
