Philips Evnia 27M2N6501L Announced with 27″ QD-OLED 1440p 240Hz Panel

For all you budget conscious gamers out there, Philips have just announced their new Evnia 27M2N6501L, a 27” sized QD-OLED model in their Evnia 6000 range, with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. With a rare white design, AI enhanced Ambiglow lighting and more, this screen offers excellent value for money for those who want an OLED screen but without the usual high OLED price-tag.
Philips Evnia 27M2N6501L Specs

This is a 27” sized screen with a flat format and is built around Samsung Display’s 3rd Gen QD-OLED panel technology. It offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 111 PPI pixel density, 0.3ms G2G response time spec, 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 200 nits brightness (SDR – 100% APL), 400 nits peak brightness (HDR 10% APL), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99% of the DCI-P3, 147.5% of the sRGB and 98% of the Adobe RGB colour spaces. It also offers a factory calibrated Delta E<2 accuracy.

The 240Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from compatible systems and is G-Sync compatible for tear-free gameplay. Other features to enhance your gaming experience include Stark ShadowBoost, Smart Crosshair and Smart Sniper, helping you stay one step ahead of the competition. In addition the Evnia Precision Centre software allows you to customise the monitor to meet your gaming needs.
The Philips “AI enhanced” Ambiglow feature offers a unique and immersive viewing experience, using colour and light “to transport your gaming room into the action making it feel like you are part of the game.” This lighting can match what is being shown on the screen and is common on many of their TV models too.
The stand comes with a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments and Flicker-free and Low Blue Mode technologies ensure a comfortable and healthier viewing experience. The screen also comes with a 3-year warranty, including cover for burn-in, which is important for an OLED monitor.
Connectivity

For connectivity there are 2x HDMI 2.1 connections, 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, a built-in USB Hub with 2x USB type-A connections and a headphone jack. It also features Multiview technology allowing you to work with multiple devices at once using PiP/PbP modes.
Availability and pricing
The Philips Evnia 27M2N6501L is due to hit the UK shelves in December for the attractive price of £399.
