Philips Announce the Evnia 24M2N5200X, a 24″ Gaming Screen with a 610Hz Refresh Rate

Philips have recently launched one of the fastest gaming monitors available making it a must for serious gamers where every second counts. The 24M2N5200X, part of their Evnia series, features a 24.1” sized screen, built around a ‘Fast TN’ panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution whilst boasting a whopping 610Hz refresh rate. We’ve seen other similar 600Hz+ models announced in recent times from Asus, BenQ, MSI and AOC so there’s a wide selection to choose from if you’re after a super-high refresh rate gaming screen.
Philips 24M2N5200X Specs
This is a small 24.1” sized screen with a flat format, still a popular size for professional and competitive gamers. It’s built around a ‘Fast TN Film’ LCD panel, again still a popular choice for supporting the fastest refresh rates possible on a screen this size, and in the absence of any OLED panels so far in this size.
It offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 92 PPI pixel density, 0.3ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 170/160 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and an extended colour gamut covering 99.8% of the sRGB and 93.6% of the DCI-P3 colour spaces. The monitor is also factory-calibrated to ensure Delta E<2 colour accuracy.

The high 610Hz refresh rate of the panel is supported by adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates from compatible systems. It has limited HDR support meeting a modest VESA DisplayHDR 400 certificate standard only.
Gaming features include Smart Sniper, Smart Crosshair, and Stark ShadowBoost. It also comes with Evnia Precision Centre software to allow you to customise your monitor to suit your gaming needs. There is a built in ergonomic arm to ensure a comfortable viewing experience, and the stands offers tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

Connectivity
For connectivity the screen offers 2x HDMI 2.1 connections, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 input, 2x USB 3.2 Type-A data ports and a headphone jack
Pricing and availability
At the time of writing the 24M2N5200X is only available in China, but we will keep you updated in relation to when it becomes more widely available.
