MSI MAG 255XF Launched with 24.5″ IPS Panel and 300Hz Refresh Rate
MSI have recently launched their new MAG-series gaming monitor in some regions, the MAG 255XF. This is a small format 24.5″ sized screen, built around a ‘Rapid IPS’ panel that offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 300Hz refresh rate. The screen has a 0.5ms G2G response time spec, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, an 8-bit+FRC colour depth and an extended colour gamut covering 90% DCI-P3 (~120% sRGB). The high 300Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, and there is a familiar range of gaming extras and settings available in the menu.
For connectivity the screen offers 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 connections along with a headphone connection. The stand offers a tilt-only adjustment.
It doesn’t seem to be available in North America or Europe yet, but we expect it to be more widely available soon.
