iiyama Unveil Their ProGraphic Series, with IPS Black 2.0 Panels and Pantone Validation

iiyama have recently announced their new ProGraphic Series of monitors, built for professionals who are focused on colour accuracy and productivity. The ProGraphic line combines IPS Black 2.0 panel technology, Pantone Validated certification, DCI-P3 colour coverage, and 4K resolution to “deliver visuals that reflect reality with remarkable depth and balance.” The new range is designed for photographers, designers, video editors, and digital artists primarily.

IPS Black 2.0 Panel Technology

The new monitors are advertised as featuring “IPS Black 2.0” panels, which seem to offer a further enhancement to contrast ratio, with a spec now of 3000:1. This brings them on par with many VA technology LCD panels for contrast ratio. iiyama also say that viewing angles are improved over older IPS panels.
Key Features

Each model is Pantone Validated, guaranteeing accurate reproduction of Pantone Matching System colours trusted by professionals in branding, fashion, and print.

Long hours in bright studios are supported by an anti-glare low reflective polariser coating, that keeps focus sharp and eyes comfortable. iiyama say this can reduce reflections better than older AG coatings.
Behind the screen, simplicity leads the workflow with USB-C dock connectivity that delivers data, video, and up to 65W power through a single cable. The integrated KVM switch allows seamless control of two devices from one setup.

iiyama ProGraphic Specs
Two models are announced so far with the same specs and features, just with a different screen size. The HB2701UHSNP-B1 is 27″ in size while the HB3201UHSNP-B1 is 32″.

Both models are built around IPS Black 2.0 LCD panels and offer a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 450 nits SDR brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 1.07b colour depth, and a wide 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
The screens will offer 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 65W power delivery) and 1x HDMI 2.0 connection. There’s also a headphone connection, RJ45 Ethernet port and a 4 port USB hub with 3x USB-A (4.5W) and 1x USB-C (15W) ports available.
They will also feature a KVM switch function, built-in 2x 2W speakers, a handy headphone hook and a fully-adjustable stand with tilt, height, swivel and rotate.
