Gigabyte Announce the MO27Q2A with a 27″ 280Hz QD-OLED Panel

At Computex 2025 this week Gigabyte have showcased their new MO27Q2A monitor, a 27″ screen built around a Samsung Display QD-OLED panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 280Hz refresh rate. This model offers a mid-tier refresh rate and a competitive price point for those looking to venture in to the OLED monitor market without forking out for the top-of-the-line expensive monitors that are available.

The screen has a 0.03ms G2G response time spec and wide colour gamut covering 99% DCI-P3. Adaptive-sync provides VRR support with certification under the NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium Pro’ schemes. It’s also certified for motion clarity under the VESA ClearMR 15000 tier, and for HDR under the VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black scheme.
The screen features Gigabyte’s updated Tactical Switch 2.0 for quick resolution and display size adjustments and a range of “AI-based” OLED Care features minimize the risk of burn-in from the OLED panel. It has a fan-less design with custom heatsink and graphene film panel to assist cooling.

We are pending more specs and details so will update this news piece in due course.
Pricing and availability
This model will be priced at $499 USD and released in the coming months.
