The product pages appeared briefly on for this monitor recently, but seem to have been removed for now. Perhaps specs and features are still being updated so please keep that in mind when reading the below. The following information has been sourced from the googlecache versions of the page.

BenQ look like they will be releasing a new model in their gaming lineup, the BenQ Mobiuz EX3415R. This is a 34″ ultrawide screen with a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 1ms MPRT spec, 144Hz refresh rate and adaptive-sync for VRR support from both NVIDIA and AMD systems.

The screen seems to be positioned at racing games as well. Their website says “The built-in racing mode gives a wide field of view, sharp visuals, and smooth lighting effects.” Other gaming extras include things like “Light Tuner [which] lets you choose from 20 color settings for your favorite effect. Whether you play FPS or RPGs, you decide how your game looks for the best experience.”

Spec wise the screen offers a 34″ ultrawide IPS technology panel with a 1900R curvature, 3440 x 1440 resolution, 2ms G2G response time (1ms MPRT), 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and a wide gamut covering 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It carries the AMD FreeSync Premium certification level for VRR, supporting the 144Hz refresh rate of the screen. The MPRT spec suggests there is also an added blur reduction backlight mode.

BenQ do of course talk about the HDR capabilities of this screen with it carrying the rather meaningless HDR400 certification level as a start. There is the required colour gamut for HDR, but it lacks the 10-bit colour depth and as far as we know will not have any local dimming for the backlight to actually improve the dynamic range. BenQ do offer their own “HDRi” technology on the screen as well. “HDRi immersive detail draws you into the game. A discrete sensor detects ambient light levels and assesses then refines on-screen HDR images for ideal display. Customized color performance, detail contrast, and image clarity add intensity.”

There are 2x 2W speakers and a 5W sub-woofer built in (2.1 system) along with a headphone jack for sound. The “True sound by treVolo surrounds you with rich music and clear, subtle auditory cues.”

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports provided. Tilt, height and swivel adjustments are offered from the stand. There is also a useful remote control accessory provided. “The hotkeys on the handy remote control let you switch between windows and adjust game and sound modes from anywhere in the room.”

The EX3415R is available to pre-order in Germany already and should appear in other European countries soon. Check latest availability and pricing for your region via Amazon here (affiliate link). More information when we get it.
