AOC Gaming CQ27G2S/BK Launched with 27″ 1440p VA Panel and 165Hz Refresh Rate
AOC have recently announced their new CQ27G2S/BL monitor, a 27″ sized screen with a curved 1500R VA technology panel, 1440p resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. It’s aimed at mid-tier gaming and also features familiar features like adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates and a blur reduction mode offering a 1ms MPRT spec.
AOC Gaming CQ27G2S/BK Specs
The screen is 27″ in size and has a moderate 1500R curvature. It’s built around a VA technology panel offering a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 4ms G2G response time, 4000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, an 8-bit colour depth and an extended colour gamut covering 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3.
The 165Hz refresh rate of the panel is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible NVIDIA and AMD systems. An added blur reduction mode with a strobing backlight delivers a 1ms MPRT spec.
The stand offers tilt, height and swivel adjustments (no pivot given the curve). There are 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 connections provided along with an audio output.
Pricing and Availability
The AOC Gaming CQ27G2S/BK will be available for purchase from the end of September 2023, at an MSRP of £219.99 in the UK. It’s available in several regions across Europe via Amazon.
