EIZO Announce Energy Efficient FlexScan EV2401S with a 23.8″ 1080p 120Hz IPS Panel

EIZO have unveiled a new small format monitor in their premium FlexScan line-up aimed at professional users with a focus on productivity, reliability and lasting value. The FlexScan EV2401S features a 23.8” screen and is built around an IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.

It offers a low power consumption of only 9 watts (typical) during normal operation and includes a number of power-saving technologies designed to reduce energy use over time. In addition it comes with a 7-year warranty, which is the longest warranty period for any monitor worldwide, for added peace of mind.

EIZO FlexScan EV2401S Specs

This is a 23.8” sized screen with a flat format and is built around an IPS LCD technology panel. It will offer a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 93 PPI pixel density, 5ms G2G response time spec, 1500:1 contrast ratio, 350 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and a standard colour gamut. It supports BT.709, the standard for HD video production, for content creation and video preview tasks.

This is the first FlexScan model to support a 120Hz refresh rate helping to deliver smoother scrolling, more responsive cursor movement and window navigation. There is also support from VRR in Windows 11 for a smoother performance.

User comfort is at the forefront of this design too as there are a number of technologies employed to keep your eyes comfortable during the working day. This includes an Auto Brightness control which automatically adjusts the screen to the ideal brightness level when there is a change in the ambient brightness throughout the day, Paper Mode reduces the amount of blue light emitted, and the backlight operates with Flicker-Free dimming.

The screen comes with a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments, and the monitor is available in both a white and black design aesthetic, depending on the colour of your set-up. The panel has an anti-glare screen coating to minimise reflections, thus helping reduce eye fatigue even further.

Connectivity

Connectivity options include DisplayPort, HDMI 1.4  and USB Type-C connections (with DP Alt mode and 70W power delivery). In addition there are 4x USB Type-A ports for easy device connections.

Availability and pricing

The FlexScan EV2401S is scheduled to be released in Q1 2027, although this will vary by region.
