Acer look set to release a couple of new high refresh rate gaming VA displays, with information emerging on some retail sites in China. The XZ270X and XZ320QX are 27″ and 32″ respectively in size and offer a 1920 x 1080 resolution VA panel, with a 240Hz native refresh rate. They have a curved screen format as well with 1500R curvature on the 27″ model and a 1800R curvature on the 32″ model.

In other specs there is an impressive 4000:1 contrast ratio, with signs suggesting they might be using some new VA technology panels from manufacturer CSOT. The specs certainly seem to match. It will be interesting to see how these new VA panels perform and if they offer any improvements over more common AU Optronics and Samsung VA offerings.

There is also an advertised 1ms response time spec which should be taken with a big pinch of salt, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and standard sRGB (72% NTSC) colour gamut. Adaptive sync is supported for VRR from both NVIDIA and AMD systems.

The screens should have 1x DisplayPort and 2x HDMI 1.4 video connections along with an audio output. There are also 2x 2W integrated speakers.
