Acer Nitro XV275U P3 Offers a 27″ 1440p 170Hz Panel with a Mini LED Backlight, on a Budget

Acer are set to release a new lower cost Mini LED backlit monitor in their Nitro range of gaming screens. The XV275U P3 is already listed on Chinese retailer JD.com where it sells for a very impressive 1999 Chinese Yuan, which equates to around $280 USD. The XV275U P is a 27″ sized screen with a 2560 x 1440 resolution VA technology panel. It has a 170Hz refresh rate and a 576-zone Mini LED backlight

Acer Nitro XV275U P Specs

The screen is 27″ in size and has a 2560 x 1440 resolution (1440p) VA technology panel. This boasts a 2ms G2G response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 600 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 99% Adobe RGB. There is a 165Hz native refresh rate, and a small overclock up to 170Hz. This is then supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible NVIDIA and AMD systems. It’s expected to meet the NVIDIA ‘G-sync Compatible’ and AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ certification levels too.

576-zone Mini LED backlight – but on a budget monitor!

The 576-zone Mini LED backlight offers some decent local dimming capabilities for an LCD monitor, which should help reduce blooming and halos. It also supports a peak brightness up to 1000 nits in HDR and should meet the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification tier, along with the colour capabilities listed above for HDR content.

Connectivity and Stand

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.2 and 2x HDMI 2.0 connections provided along with an audio output, and the stand offers a full range of tilt, swivel, height and rotate adjustments
