Acer KG251Q Z with 24.5″ VA Panel, 1080p and 250Hz Refresh Rate
You don’t see many monitors of this size with a 1080p resolution, VA panel and high refresh rate, but Acer are expected to launch their new KG251Q Z in the near future (full model name KG251Q Zbmiipx). There isn’t an official product page for this screen yet, but we do know that it will be 24.5″ in size and is based on a 1920 x 1080 resolution (1080p) VA technology panel. This is combined with a high 250Hz refresh rate, presumably a 240Hz native with a small overclocking feature. It’s supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from both NVIDIA and AMD systems, and is expected to carry the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ certification.
In other specs the 24.5″ screen offers a 1ms response time spec when using it’s VRB motion blur reduction mode. There’s also a 3000:1 contrast ratio, certainly a benefit of the VA technology panel being used. There’s also a 250 nits brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and a standard sRGB colour gamut.
The stand has a limited tilt adjustment only, and for connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.2 and 2x HDMI 2.0 inputs. Simple 2 x 2W speakers are integrated in to the screen and there’s also a headphone jack for audio pass-through.
More details on release date, pricing and official product pages when we get it.
