LG’s UltraGear 52G930B, part of their premium UltraGear evo AI gaming series, delivers a gigantic 52″ Ultrawide VA panel, with an impressive 5K2K resolution (5120 x 2160) and 240Hz refresh rate, pairing both high resolution gaming and speed. Described by LG as the ‘World’s largest 52-inch 5K2K gaming display”, this massive screen features the vertical viewing height of a standard 42-inch 16:9 display, stretching horizontally for an expansive 21:9 panoramic view.

We first bought you news of this giant monitor at the end of December and we had the pleasure of seeing it showcased at CES in January too. We are now pleased to report that the official product page has now appeared on LG’s website with full specs and information now available, along with pricing and pre-order details.

LG UltraGear 52G930B Specs

The screen is 52″ in size with a steep 1000R curvature and built around a VA LCD technology panel. It boasts an impressive 5120 x 2160 resolution, 1ms GTG response time spec, 4000:1 contrast ratio, 21:9 aspect ratio, 320 nits brightness (SDR), 178/178 viewing angles, 10-bit colour depth and a wide colour gamut covering 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It’s factory calibrated and also supports hardware calibration via their ‘True Color Pro’ software.

The 240Hz refresh rate is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible systems, including certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme. For HDR the screen has been certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 600 tier as well meaning some basic edge-lit local dimming and a peak brightness of >600 nits.

Gaming features include Black Stabiliser, Crosshair, FPS Counter and Dynamic Action Sync. There is also the inclusion of an LG Switch app function which converts your screen into a hub for work, gaming and streaming. This allows you to customise various settings such as image quality and brightness, then apply these settings with a hotkey depending on what’s on the screen.

The stand provides tilt, height and swivel adjustments, and the screen features hexagonal backlighting on the rear.

Connectivity

For connectivity there is 2x HDMI 2.1 inputs, 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), and 1x USB type-C connections (with DP Alt Mode and 90W power delivery). It also includes built-in speakers, a headphone jack and PiP/PbP support for handling multiple devices.
