Dell Announce Range of New UltraSharp Monitors Including U3821DW, U2722D/DE and U2422H/HE

Dell have announced a range of new UltraSharp models in a selection of sizes including ultrawide 37.5″ with 3840 x 1600 resolution, 27″ with 2560 x 1440 and 23.8″ with 1920 x 1080. There are various useful productivity features included on some of the models including built in KVM, RJ45 connectivity and USB type-C hub functionality.

U3821DW

37.5″ in size and not to be confused with the similarly named AW3821DW which is in their Alienware gaming line-up. The U3821DW offers a 3840 x 1600 curved IPS technology panel. It also has a 5ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 1.07b colour depth and wide gamut covering 95% DCI-P3 (and 100% sRGB).

For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x USB type-C upstream (90W power delivery), 1x USB type-C downstream (15W), 4x USB ports, an audio output and even an RJ45 connection. PiP and PbP are supported for multiple inputs and there is a built in KVM switch and 2x 9W stereo speakers as well. The stand offers tilt, height, swivel and even “slant” adjustments.

The U3821DW is expected to be available at the end of January for $1400 – 1500 USD (differing reports online)

U2722D and U2722DE

These are 27″ models with a 2560 x 1440 resolution IPS panels. This includes a wide colour gamut covering 95% DCI-P3 (with 100% sRGB too) and 1.07b colour depth support. Other specs are not listed at this time.

The DE model includes USB type-C hub connectivity with 90W upstream power delivery to your laptop. The DE model also has PiP/PbP functions, KVM built in and an RJ45 connection. These are not included on the D model. Both offer a fully adjustable stand with tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

The DE model will retail for $630 USD while the D model is a little less at $530 USD. Both are expected to be released on 30th March 2021.

U2422H and U2422HE

These are 23.8″ models with a 1920 x 1080 resolution IPS panels. This includes a semi-wide colour gamut covering 85% DCI-P3 (with 100% sRGB too) and 1.07b colour depth support. Other specs are not listed at this time.

The HE model includes USB type-C hub connectivity with 90W upstream power delivery to your laptop. The HE model also has KVM built in and an RJ45 connection (no PiP or PbP on these smaller models). These are not included on the H model. Both offer a fully adjustable stand with tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.

The HE model will retail for $430 USD while the H model is a little less at $330 USD. Both are expected to be released on 30th March 2021.
