BenQ Launch the New ScreenBar Halo 2 – a Dual Colour LED Monitor Light Bar

Being advertised as the “Ultimate Monitor Light for Eye Comfort” BenQ have introduced their new ScreenBar Halo 2, a dual colour LED monitor light bar accessory with a smart looking wireless controller, aimed at professional users to deliver optimal eye comfort so you can work better for longer. It’s an update to their popular ScreenBar Halo accessory, now with some improvements and changes.

We brought you a review of BenQ’s original ScreenBar Halo back in February 2023, and now BenQ have built on the success of this to deliver the ScreenBar Halo 2 which introduces a tri-zone backlight design expanding coverage by apparently 423% compared with the first generation device, balancing the contrast between the monitor and its surroundings and helping to reduce eye fatigue caused by glare. It’s wide backlight and asymmetrical front light design maintains a light contrast ratio of less than 1:3 which is in line with ANSI recommendations. It has also been certified as flicker free and with approval for “no-blue light hazard”.

There are a number of smart features, including auto-dimming, auto on/off and memory settings for personalised use. The revamped wireless controller puck allows you to easily adjust the brightness and colour temperature values.

The sleek metallic finish ensures it will not look out of place on any desk space and the new zinc-alloy clamp mounting system supports a variety of monitor sizes, fitting flat monitors with a thickness from 0.43 – 6cm including curved monitors between 1000R to 1800R. The lamp head angle can also be adjusted as required.
Availability and pricing
The ScreenBar Halo 2 is available to purchase from Amazon (affiliate link) at a price of $179.99 USD or £149 GBP.
