Asus TUF Gaming VG259Q with 24.5″ IPS Panel and 144Hz Refresh
Asus are set to release a new model in their TUF Gaming line-up, the 24.5″ VG259Q. The new screen features an IPS technology panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. This is assisted by support for adaptive-sync (48 – 144Hz range) which will allow variable refresh rate support from both NVIDIA and AMD systems.
In other specs the screen offers a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and standard sRGB colour gamut. A 1ms MPRT spec is listed as the screen also feature’s Asus’ ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) strobing backlight technology, although note that this is not their new ELMB-sync so cannot be used at the same time as adaptive-sync VRR.
The stand has a full range of tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments. There are 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 2x HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack provided for connectivity. 2x 2W stereo speakers are also integrated in to the screen.
No word on release date or pricing yet. More info when we get it.
