AOC AGON Pro AG256FS Announced with 24.5″ 390Hz IPS Panel
Originally published 30 April 2024, last udpated 16 July 2024

AOC have recently announced a new monitor in their AGON Pro gaming line-up of monitors. The AG256FS is a small 24.5″ sized screen, but offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 390Hz overclocked refresh rate ‘Fast-IPS’ technology panel. This makes it a high refresh rate offering in this smaller competitive gaming space, if you want an IPS panel and not a TN Film panel although there are other models available from other manufacturers like Acer based on the same panel.

Adaptive-sync supports variable refresh rates with the panel having a native 360Hz refresh rate, which can be overclocked up to 390Hz. There is also a motion blur reduction backlight option which allows for a 0.3ms MPRT spec.
For connectivity there are 1x DisplayPiort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 available, along with 4x USB data ports and a headphone jack. The stand offers tilt, height, swivel and rotate adjustments.
