AOC AGON AG405UXC with 40″ Ultrawide IPS Panel and 144Hz Refresh Rate
AOC have recently announced the release of their new AGON gaming series display, the AG405UXC. This is a flat format 40″ ultrawide display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It offers an interesting larger sized option than common 34″ sized screens with this resolution, for those who want a larger screen to increase immersion, or are sitting at a further viewing distance perhaps for gaming.
AOC AGON AG405UXC Specs
The screen is 40″ in size and has a flat format IPS-type panel, not curved. It offers a 3440 x 1440 resolution, 4ms G2G response time, 1ms MPRT spec (thanks to the availability of a blur reduction mode), 1200:1 contrast ratio, 8-bit colour depth and 178/178 viewing angles. There is an extended colour gamut with 93.4% DCI-P3 coverage quoted. It has a 144Hz refresh rate which is supported by adaptive-sync for VRR from compatible NVIDIA and AMD systems. It also includes certification under the AMD ‘FreeSync Premium’ scheme.
For video connections there are 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 90W power delivery) available. There is also a 4 port USB data hub and headphone connection provided. PiP and PbP modes are supported and the screen also includes a KVM function and 2x 5W speakers. The stand offers tilt, height and swivel adjustments.
Pricing and Availability
The AG405UXC will be available from June 2023 with an MSRP of £569.99 in the UK
