Philips Showcase Range of New Monitors at IFA 2019
Philips have showcased a range of new monitors at IFA 2019 this week. There are a wide range of solutions for different markets and requirements, including new models in a 43.4″ ultrawide format, 34″ ultrawide and new 55″ and 31.5″ sized Momentum lineup models which also feature 120Hz refresh rate.
There is a 43.4″ ultrawide model the 439P9H which has a 32:10 aspect ratio which is a solution aimed at financial, banking, and other B2B sectors. It has USB-C docking, a Windows Hello™ pop-up webcam, and much more
There is also the 34″ 345B1C with an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio. The 345B1C provides USB-C docking and RJ45, a Windows Hello™ pop-up webcam, HDR technology, and an energy-saving PowerSensor and LightSensor.
272B1G, 241B1V, 279C9, and 272B7QUBHEB – designed for today’s professionals, these displays are equipped with a wide array of productivity and performance-maximizing features. The 27” 272B1G is particularly eco-friendly, built with 85% post-consumer recycled plastics with TCO edge, 100% free of mercury, halogen, and PVC-BFR, and offering users the lowest energy consumption ever thanks to power-saving technologies such as a PowerSensor, LightSensor, and Zero Power Switch. In addition to connectivity features such as USB, VGA, DVI, DP, HDMI, the 23,8” 241B1V offers extensive privacy-protecting capacities, making it the ideal choice for government, bank, and military users. The slick and slim 27” 279C9 is bezel-free, offering true edge-to-edge screen space in addition to the beauty of 4K UHD resolution combined with IPS and Ultra Wide-Color technology for images that dazzle. The 27” 272B7QUBHEB is loaded with handy features such as a secure Windows Hello™ pop-up webcam and QHD resolution, and offers users a complete docking solution with USB-C and USB-A (DisplayLink) connectivity as well as DP-out and DC-out.
346P1, 439P9H, 345B1C, 272E1CA and 328E1CA – these curved monitors are specifically shaped to offer users an enhanced, more immersive viewing experience. The 34” 346P1 includes features such as a 3-sided frameless design, USB-C docking, notebook power charging, and optional Windows Hello™ pop-up webcam. The 439P9H provides an expansive 43.4-inch frameless display in addition to USB-C docking, a Windows Hello™ pop-up webcam, and much more. The 345B1C provides USB-C docking and RJ45, a Windows Hello™ pop-up webcam, HDR technology, and an energy-saving PowerSensor and LightSensor. The 27” 272E1CA and 31,5” 328E1CA feature an immersive design equipped with 75 Hz Freesync and 60 Hz Adaptive sync technology, respectively.
162B9T, 172B9T (pictured), 222B9T and 242B9T – these touchscreen models come in a wide variety of formats (15.6”, 17”, 21.5”, and 23.8”) each equipped with Projected Capacitive 10-point touch technology, enhanced IP54 protection against water and dust, a foldable ergonomic stand, and connectivity features such as VGA, DVI, HDMI 1.4, DP 1.2, USB 3.1.
Touch-screen technology is a star feature this year. All Philips SmoothTouch monitors on display at IFA include innovative Projected-Capacitive (P-Cap) touch and support up to 10 points for the ultimate hands-on user experience. Ideally suited for Point of Sale, Point of Information, the hospitality industry, and the education sector, these versatile monitors come equipped with an array of features for added convenience and flexibility. Advanced IP54 protection means water and dust pose virtually no threat, while numerous connectivity options and smooth and simple angle adjustment guarantee greater comfort and ease of use.
Also showcased at the event were the new Momentum 558M1RY (pictured) and 328M1R models with 4K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 1000 / HDR 600 respectively. More info on those in our previous news piece. These models are still listed as a Q1 2020 expected release date.
