Eizo have announced the release of their first ever ultrawide curved monitor, their new FlexScan EV3895. This is a 37.5″ sized screen featuring a 3840 x 1600 resolution IPS panel and it’s aimed at general usage and office situations where productivity and functionality are a focus. It includes features like USB type-C connectivity and integrated LAN capabilities.

The 37.5-inch curved ultrawide monitor easily blends into even smaller work spaces. It can stand on small surfaces thanks to its slim and frameless design and its small steady stand. It can easily be placed on a small desk and leave enough room to work comfortably.

Spec wise it offers a 37.5″ sized IPS panel offering 3840 x 1600 resolution, 5ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 8-bit colour depth and wide colour gamut covering 94% DCI-P3 (>100% sRGB)

The Picture-by-Picture (PbP) function allows the monitor to receive up to three video signals simultaneously. This saves the time and hassle of switching between video and audio sources when operating more than one computer. The monitor comes with six predefined PbP layouts. When simultaneously displaying content from three video inputs via Picture-by-Picture (PbP), the Main Window Swap function allows you to instantly change the layout of the windows. This provides a simple and fast way of shifting focus to any screen freely.

The monitor is equipped with four easy-access USB Type-A ports on the side. When using PbP, the monitor’s USB Selection function allows you to use a single mouse and keyboard to operate each screen from multiple computers. This eliminates the need for additional peripherals for each computer and keeps your desk tidy.

The monitor is equipped with a USB Type-C connection that allows users to display video, playback audio, transmit USB signals, supply power to connected devices, and even access a network signal. This convenient multi-purpose connectivity makes it faster and easier to connect your laptop when moving between workstations or working away from the office. The monitor’s 85 watt power delivery via USB Type-C reliably charges laptops and small desktop PCs. This eliminates the need for a laptop’s bulky power supply unit, freeing up desk space.

While many modern laptops are not equipped with a dedicated LAN port, the monitor has one directly built in for a wired connection. Connecting any laptop via USB Type-C allows access to the network through the monitor. This allows you to conduct conference calls or data transfers reliably and at high speed.

To prevent eye fatigue, a brightness sensor called Auto EcoView detects the changes in the ambient brightness that occurs throughout the day and automatically adjusts the screen to the ideal brightness level. The screen has also been certified for Eye Care and includes a hybrid flicker free backlight (as we’ve seen on other Eizo screens in the past) and low blue light modes. There is also a very low 1 cd/m2 minimum brightness advertised.

There are 1x DisplayPort, 2x HDMI 1.4 and 1x USB type-C connections offered along with 4x USB downstream ports. The screen also features integrated 2x 1W basic speakers and a headphone output. The stand offers tilt, height and swivel adjustments.

In addition to sleek black, the cabinet is available in white for a color option that keeps your workspace feeling bright. Furthermore, EIZO provides matching cables for full color coordination.
