Innolux Promote ‘InnoLED’ Technology, Powering the New 300Hz Mini LED Gaming Displays
Panel manufacturer Innolux have recently provided some information about their new “InnoLED” panel technology, which is what will power several new monitors that were announced at CES 2022 last week. This includes the panel and backlight technology behind the forthcoming AOC AGON Pro AG274QGM, ViewSonic Elite XG272G-2K and MSI MEG 271Q gaming displays. You can read those respective news pieces for more information on each, but these are all 27″ sized gaming monitors which feature a 2560 x 1440 resolution, 300Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-sync and a Mini LED backlight. This additional information provided from Innolux gives us a bit more brief info about the technologies behind the new models.
InnoLED offers the following benefits according to their promotional video:
- Wide colour gamut covering 124% NTSC and 85% BT.2020 . They talk in the video about “chromium-free Quantum Dot technology” as well
- Mini LED backlighting – for the announced 27″ monitors this offers a 576-zone Mini LED local dimming backlight
- HDR 1000 levels including a peak brightness of 1000 nits+
- High frame rate thanks to ‘InnoLED Motion Technology’ with a refresh rate up to 300Hz available
- Reduced blue light output with a shifted blue spectrum
- Innolux are keen to promote that the panel will not suffer from any burn-in (unlike OLED they say)
- A thin format and lighter panel/backlight module allowing for sleeker and more attractive displays
